6th Byzantine brooches in Wurttermberg

These Beautiful garnet disk brooches were found in a rich woman's grave at Villingen-Schwenningen, dating back to 6th c. AD. They originally came from Byzantium, presumably from a workshop that produced jewels for the imperial court of Constantinople!
